MHW, Ltd. President and Founder John Beaudette Supports Craft Distillers in Washington, D.C.
The Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS), in partnership with The American Craft Spirits Association (ACSA), hosted their 10th Annual Public Policy Conference in Washington, D.C., from July 22 – 24, 2019.
MHW, Ltd. President and Founder John Beaudette joined more than 150 American craft distillers from 33 states at the Conference, which supported the proposed permanency of The Craft Beverage Modernization and Tax Reform Act (CBMTRA).
The CBMTRA went into effect on January 01, 2018 and is currently set to expire on December 31, 2019.
“The beverage alcohol marketplace in the United States is more robust and diverse than any other country in the world. For more than 80 years, domestic and foreign craft spirits, wine, and malt suppliers, in addition to their importer and wholesaler counterparts, have played a substantial role in the American economy,” said John Beaudette, President and Founder of MHW, Ltd.
“The CBMTRA not only offers a critical tax benefit to domestic and foreign craft distillers, but also helps to support the longevity and continued prosperity of the United States beverage alcohol industry as an important economic multiplier in our Country,” Beaudette continued.
